TSP Monte Carlo Projection

Enter today's balances and see a range of simulated future outcomes, built by resampling real historical months across your held funds together — not one fund at a time. Each fund's history goes back to its own real inception (the G Fund all the way to 1987) rather than a single fixed start date — mixing an older fund with a newer one narrows the simulation to the months they both actually existed. Assumes no future contributions or withdrawals.

Reading the chart: each simulation is one possible future built by resampling real historical months. The median (50th percentile) is the middle simulated outcome — half of the 2,000 simulations ended higher, half lower. The narrow band covers the middle 50% of outcomes (25th–75th percentile); the wide band covers the middle 80% (10th–90th percentile). Real results could still fall outside every band shown.
Disclaimer: This tool simulates 2,000 possible futures by resampling actual historical monthly returns for each fund back to its real inception (G Fund since 1987, F and C Fund since 1988, S and I Fund since 2001) — not a fixed starting date. Returns are TSP's own published monthly figures before June 2003 and daily-derived after. This is not a prediction. It does not model future contributions, withdrawals, taxes, or fees. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
